The DVP-X range has been specifically built for hardworking musicians and DJ’s on the road. Covering all live applications this robust line up covers all sizes from a full range 12” through to the huge 138 dB 2 x 18” subwoofer.

The MDF cabinets of DVP-X series are protected by an enhanced version of Wharfedale Pro’s proprietary Rhino Rock paint. This finish gives improved protection against chips, dinks and clunks during transportation to and from the gig. DVP-X will look as good as new even after many successful tours, parties and events. The iconic Wharfedale Pro logo is also CNC routed into the cabinet design.

But DVP-X is more than just a strong cabinet. The drivers use the latest Wharfedale Pro driver technology. For the LF drivers, a curvilinear, double-roll surround is used for smooth mid-high transitions and stability for low through to mid-range frequencies. All models have 2.5” voice coils for improved thermal dissipation.

A 44mm diaphragm IRIS X4 HF driver is used throughout the range. Using a solid aluminium rear plate, the HF driver is strengthened for durability and heat is dissipated efficiently for high pressure use during prolonged time periods. Wharfedale Pro engineers have also selected a 90° x 60° elliptical waveguide optimised for wide coverage in multiple venues while touring.

Special attention has been paid to the port and port mouth to ensure a huge bass output with detail and minimised distortion. For the floor monitors, the port mouth lies parallel to the ground, creating a reflective boundary effect to guarantee low-end delivery. Each port on each speaker has been tuned individually for low-end punch.
