The EMIX Standby Amplifier Source Selector EMSS-3400 main function  is  to  select a single audio source from the five audio input sources. The selection is based on input signals from the EMIX Automatic Standby Amplifier Changeover Unit, EMCO-3350 or EMCO-3330. The selected audio source will be channeled to the standby  amplifier,  providing  a  complete  automatic  amplifier  changeover  scheme.  By  providing  source changeover, amplifiers with different Background Music and Paging source can be supported effortlessly.

The EMCO-3350/3330 takes care  of  amplifier failure detection and amplifier output (100V line) switchover while the EMSS-3400 takes care of the supported amplifier audio source switchover. The EMSS-3400 allows a maximum of 5 audio sources for switchover purpose with a single output source.
