The EMIX Automatic Standby Amplifier Changeover Unit is a compulsory addition to any  public addressing system that requires a high level of reliability. The EMCO-3350/EMCO-3330 checks in real time for any amplifier failures. If any of  the connected amplifier fails, the EMCO-3350 / EMCO-3330 will automatically switch the failed amplifier load to a standby amplifier so as to ensure the continuous operability of the speaker.

Amplifier testing is performed through pilot tone detection at an interval of 1 minute. Buzzer will sound when amplifier failure is detected. The Automatic Standby Amplifier Changeover Unit can be further enhanced with the connection of EMSS-3400 Standby Amplifier Source Selector to perform source switching to the Standby Amplifier. Finally, the Automatic Standby Amplifier Changeover Unit can be cascaded to increase the amount of amplifier supported without increasing the number of Standby amplifier unit.
